Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable
Bookkeeper
to join our finance team. In this role, you will maintain accurate financial records, manage day-to-day transactions, and support our growing operations in a dynamic, service-based environment with international elements. This position plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting as we scale our innovative infrastructure-as-a-service model.
Key Responsibilities

Record and classify daily financial transactions, including revenue from service fees, revenue shares, and project-related payments.

Manage accounts payable and receivable processes: process invoices, track payments, reconcile vendor statements, and follow up on outstanding items.

Reconcile bank statements, credit card accounts, and other financial records on a monthly basis.

Prepare and maintain accurate general ledger entries and supporting documentation.

Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including preparation of trial balances and basic financial reports.

Track and manage expenses, ensuring proper coding and approval workflows.

Support payroll processing coordination and expense reimbursements.

Maintain organized financial filing systems (digital and physical) in compliance with company policies.

Assist in preparing documentation for external accountants, auditors, or tax professionals as needed.

Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounts, collaborating with team members to ensure accuracy.

Contribute to process improvements in bookkeeping workflows to support company growth.
Qualifications

2+ years of bookkeeping or relevant accounting experience, preferably in a service-based, project-oriented, or startup environment.

Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, or similar); experience with cloud-based tools is a plus.

Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (debits/credits, accrual vs. cash basis).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

High level of integrity and confidentiality when handling financial information.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data reconciliation).

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a strong plus, given our focus on operations in Mexico.
