Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Carrabassett Valley, Maine

Employee Status: Full-time (30 hours per week)

Classification: Non-exempt, hourly

Carrabassett Valley Academy is a private ski and snowboard academy for grades 7 through postgraduate, located at the base of Sugarloaf Mountain in Carrabassett Valley, Maine.

We are seeking a dependable, team-oriented staff member to join our Business Office team. The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and supporting financial operations. This role manages daily accounting tasks, tuition and fee tracking, payroll, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with school policies and applicable financial regulations.

  • Bank Reconciliation

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Experience with accounting software namely Blackbaud NXT
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential financial information with integrity.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
