Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our team. In this role, you will manage the financial record-keeping processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. This role will use the financial management program CDM+, which is housed on our system on location. Currently not a remote position.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software CDM+
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and ledger entries.
- Record deposit entries, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage general ledger accounting functions.
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to verify data integrity.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax preparation, and compliance activities related to governmental accounting standards.
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including financial statement writing and budget analysis.
- Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by verifying account balances and preparing necessary documentation.
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and double-entry bookkeeping methods.
- Knowledge of accounting practices, including balance sheet reconciliation, journal entries, and account analysis.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting is a plus.
- Ability to perform account reconciliation tasks accurately and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10-key typing is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of tax regulations related to payroll and accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Strong communication skills for financial report writing and collaborating with team members on technical accounting issues.
Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
