Job Title: Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Record and maintain financial transactions
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Maintain general ledger and ensure accuracy of financial data
  • Prepare financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Process invoices, payments, and payroll as needed
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role, minimum 5 years experience
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with payroll processing
  • Familiarity with tax preparation and reporting
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
