Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively working with our client that is a family-owned, Arkansas-based service provider specializing in waste management and logistics solutions. The company has operated for nearly two decades and grown into one of the region's largest providers in its niche. With multiple locations across Arkansas and continued expansion plans into neighboring states, this business emphasizes customer service, responsiveness, and operational excellence. They're projecting continued growth over the next 12–18 months and are looking to add a dedicated Bookkeeper to support that momentum here in Little Rock!

Position Overview

The Bookkeeper will handle high-volume transactional accounting for two related business entities. This role reports directly to ownership and will work closely with an external CPA firm that oversees tax planning and business strategy. The right candidate will be detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable working with technology across QuickBooks Online and Excel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record daily financial transactions including service fees, rentals, pick-ups, and drop-offs
  • Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing
  • Reconcile bank and credit card accounts
  • Prepare and process batch invoicing between Excel and QuickBooks
  • Generate and send individualized invoices for non-recurring customers
  • Apply and process payments via check, ACH, and credit card; follow up on outstanding invoices
  • Track and post landfill or vendor-related fees, reconciling monthly statements
  • Assist with payroll processing and other transactional accounting functions
  • Support back-end billing improvements and help implement new processes as the company expands into additional markets

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience in a service or logistics business preferred
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with high transaction volume (250–300 transactions weekly).
  • Strong understanding of A/R, A/P, GL, and reconciliations
  • Payroll processing experience is a plus
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently

Compensation & Work Environment

  • Base salary: $55,000–$75,000 (DOE)
  • Flexible hybrid schedule once trained; option for mostly remote work with periodic office visits
