Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Record and process all financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
• Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
• Prepare journal entries and maintain the integrity of the general ledger in compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis regularly to identify discrepancies
• Assist with payroll processing and tax-related activities, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations
• Support budgeting activities and prepare financial reports for management review
• Maintain detailed records of all transactions, including debits & credits, for audit readiness and transparency

Skills

• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar tools
• Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP and governmental accounting standards
• Experience with double entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger accounting
• Knowledge of financial concepts like account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis
• Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation and account reconciliation accurately
• Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax experience
• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency
• Effective communication skills for financial report writing and documentation
• Ability to adapt to various software platforms and technical accounting procedures
