We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure all accounts are correctly balanced and recorded.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently, including invoice entry and payment processing.
- Prepare journal entries, conduct balance sheet reconciliation, and ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed.
- Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
- Conduct account analysis, double-entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial statements.
Requirements
- Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles, including GAAP and governmental accounting standards.
- Demonstrated ability in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation.
- Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and tax experience.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; proficiency in 10 key typing is a plus.
- Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and communicate effectively through financial report writing.
