Job Description:
We are a growing property management company currently managing 170 units, with plans to expand to 200 units in the near future. We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to support our financial operations. This is a part-time position with strong potential to transition into a full-time role as the company continues to grow.
The ideal candidate is experienced in property management accounting, comfortable working independently, and familiar with modern accounting and property management software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable and receivable
- Reconcile bank accounts and financial statements
- Maintain accurate financial records and reports
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes
- Track rent payments, expenses, and owner distributions
- Ensure data accuracy across accounting and property management platforms
Software & Tools:
- Sage 50 Accounting
- AppFolio
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
Qualifications:
- Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience (property management experience preferred)
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and/or similar accounting software
- Experience with AppFolio is a strong plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills
Work Structure:
- Primarily remote
- Must be local to the Phoenix metro area for occasional in-person meetings (a few times per month)
