Overview
We’re on the lookout for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper with accounting experience to join our financial team. In this role, you’ll be the backbone of our accounting operations, ensuring that all financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with industry standards. Whether managing day-to-day transactions or preparing financial reports, your expertise will help keep our organization’s finances running smoothly. The ideal candidate is passionate about numbers, enjoys working with various accounting software, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks on-line, Concur and Quicken.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing and payment tracking.
  • Record journal entries accurately, including debits & credits, general ledger entries, and double-entry bookkeeping practices.
  • Reconcile accounts regularly to ensure the integrity of the general ledger and balance sheet accuracy.
  • Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure compliance with governmental regulations.
  • Support budgeting activities by analyzing financial data and preparing reports for management review.
  • Conduct account analysis and general ledger reconciliation to identify discrepancies or errors.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions and support audit processes as needed.

Experience

  • Proven experience working as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role for at least two years.
  • Strong familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Excel or similar platforms; experience with multiple systems is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, journal entries, and general ledger management.
  • Understanding of accounts payable/receivable processes along with payroll administration.
  • Ability to interpret financial concepts clearly and write concise financial reports.
  • Experience in governmental or non-profit accounting is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with budgeting processes and financial analysis techniques.
  • Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills; proficiency in 10 key typing for data entry accuracy is preferred. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
