About Innova Industries

Innova Industries is a Houston-based company specializing in the resale and leasing of intermodal equipment, including ISO tanks, tank chassis, and container chassis. We operate in a fast-moving logistics environment and are looking for a detail-oriented financial professional to help us stay on top of our books as we grow.

The Role

We're looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant on a contract or freelance basis to handle both our day-to-day financial operations and higher-level reporting. This is a hybrid position — while you will be able to work remotely, you will also need to be available to work on-site during standard business hours at least part of the week. Hours will vary depending on workload, generally ranging from 10 to 20 hours per week.

What You'll Do

• Record and categorize transactions, invoices, and payments
• Reconcile bank and credit card accounts on a regular basis
• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
• Track equipment sales and lease revenue
• Assist with tax preparation and coordination with our CPA
• Identify and flag any discrepancies or financial irregularities

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop) or similar accounting software
• Strong understanding of AR/AP, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting
• Available to work on-site in Houston during standard business hours at least part of the week
• Experience in equipment sales, leasing, logistics, or a related industry is a plus
• Highly organized, self-directed, and reliable with deadlines

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with intermodal equipment or freight industries
• Experience supporting a small business with multiple revenue streams

Engagement Details

• Contract / Freelance | Hybrid (Houston, TX)
• Estimated hours: 10–20 hours per week (varies by workload)
• In-person requirement: At least 50% on-site
• Compensation: Based on experience
