Overview
We have an immediate opportunity for a detail-oriented, reliable and experienced Bookkeeper and Payroll Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Process payrolls in a timely and accurate manner for multiple clients using third party software. Comply with all clients tax reporting and payment requirements.
- Perform bookkeeping for multiple clients on a regular basis, including preparing bank reconciliations, using QuickBooks accounting software.
- Provide administrative assistance to the other team members as needed and requested, including answering telephone and making bank deposits.
- Any and all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and QuickBooks accounting softwares.
- 2+ years of bookkeeping and payroll experience in a professional setting.
- Above average understanding of accounting principles, double entry bookkeeping, general ledger accounting, and financial concepts.
- Experience performing bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Strong knowledge of payroll taxes, processing and government reporting requirements.
- Excellent customer service, time management and interpersonal communication skills.
- A commitment to excellence and attention to detail in all assigned tasks, including a willingness to go "above and beyond" when needed.
- Strong organizational skills including 10 key typing for data entry accuracy.
- Ability to manage sensitive client information with confidentiality.
- Must be able to physically walk up and down stairs and lift and carry items up to 10lbs without assistance.

Pay: From $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 37.5 per week
