Bookkeeper & Office Coordinator

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Accounting Solutions of Idaho (ASI) is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper and Office Coordinator to support day-to-day operations and bookkeeping functions. This person will most commonly serve as the first point of contact for our clients. This role serves as a key connection point between our clients and accounting team by managing client communication, coordinating intake and documentation, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role is essential in creating a positive client experience while keeping office operations organized and running smoothly. Other responsibilities aligned with this role but are not limited to:

  • Oversee front desk at our in-office location, including answering incoming client calls and providing a professional, friendly first point of contact.
  • Facilitate client intake by collecting documentation and gathering necessary information to ensure Accounting Specialists can efficiently respond with actionable next steps.
  • Monitor and manage multiple shared email inboxes, routing messages appropriately and ensuring timely follow-up.
  • Maintain organized and accurate client records, ensuring documentation is accessible to both in-office and remote team members.
  • Utilize project tracking software to monitor workflow, deadlines, and outstanding tasks.
  • Support front office operations to include Client Invoicing, New Client Inquiries, and Daily Client record keeping.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of client financial information, handling sensitive data with professionalism and discretion
  • Execute client bookkeeping workflows by gathering documentation, requesting clarification on financial activity, and coordinating with Payroll Specialists and Client Accounting Specialists to ensure complete and accurate financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate and timely client financial records, including transaction entry, account reconciliations, bookkeeping clean-up, and preparation of financial reports for internal review and client use.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

The successful candidate will be adaptable, curious, and dependable, with the ability to quickly learn the unique needs of our diverse client base. They will be detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable transitioning between tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is able to work independently within structured workflows while remaining engaged and connected in a collaborative hybrid team environment. Other qualifications include:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED; exposure to accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping principles is preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of two (1) years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Must have strong computer and technology skills with a minimum of one (1) year of experience working with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Must be comfortable using standard office equipment, including scanners and printers, to manage client documentation and maintain organized digital records as well as run basic IT troubleshooting on all office equipment when necessary.
  • Must have demonstrated the ability to work independently while staying engaged in a collaborative, hybrid team environment.
  • Must have proficiency managing multiple communication channels, including shared inboxes, task management systems, and voicemail.
  • Must be comfortable answering phones and interacting with clients on a regular basis.
  • Must have strong attention to detail with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
