We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in auditing firms and excellent English communication skills, along with proven expertise in managing bookkeeping for US-based clients. The ideal candidate must be highly proficient in QuickBooks Online (QBO), bring hands-on auditing firm experience, and be well-versed in other relevant accounting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for US clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US accounting standards.
- Record financial transactions, reconcile bank and credit card accounts, and maintain general ledgers.
- Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense categorization.
- Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports.
- Collaborate with clients to gather documentation and clarify financial discrepancies.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Leverage QuickBooks Online (QBO) and other cloud-based accounting tools efficiently.
- Apply auditing firm experience to uphold internal controls, ensure compliance, and support audit-readiness for clients.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper for US clients (mandatory).
- Demonstrated experience working in an auditing firm (mandatory).
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) — candidates must be able to demonstrate practical QBO skills; knowledge of Xero, Bill.com, Gusto, Hubdoc, etc. is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Strong understanding of US bookkeeping practices, financial workflows, and audit standards.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
