Bookkeeper/Accounts Payable

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounts payable, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records. This role is crucial in supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Experience in carpet and floor industry a plus.

Duties

  • Process vendor invoices and ensure proper approval before payment.
  • Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.
  • Handle inquiries from vendors regarding payment status and discrepancies.
  • Corporate accounting functions as needed.
  • Handle installer payroll on a weekly basis

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or similar role.
  • Strong technical accounting skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent 10-key typing skills for efficient data entry.
  • Knowledge of account reconciliation processes and governmental accounting principles is a plus.
  • Ability to write clear and concise financial reports.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to maintaining high standards of work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
