Senior Accountant

<Overview>
Our small CPA Firm is looking for a candidate with 3-6 years of public accounting/bookkeeping experience. Tax Return preparation experience, including 1040s, 1065s, and 1120s is preferred, but not required. The firm is led by its founder and managing partner, and his son, another partner and CPA. We are looking for a motivated candidate who is searching for a job that has a very favorable work/life balance, who is motivated to grow his or her career and remain at the firm long-term. A CPA license is not required for this position, and the firm will not pressure the employee to pursue one. However, we will support and encourage the employee to achieve one, if he or she is interested.

<Duties>

Prepare, analyze, and review financial statements
Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and general ledger accounting
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and collections
Oversee cash management activities, including forecasting, bank reconciliations, and liquidity analysis
Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial management tools
Perform technical accounting research on complex transactions

<Qualifications>

Experience in public accounting or corporate accounting roles with an understanding of GAAP
Ability to perform double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, financial analysis, and account analysis.
Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms.
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliations efficiently while maintaining high attention to detail.
Effective communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or a related field

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
