Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to join our small construction/property company in a country setting minutes from Charleston/Cross lanes. This vital role combines essential bookkeeping responsibilities with comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our office. Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks and other accounting software
  • Perform data entry, invoicing, billing, and bank reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Handle front desk duties including greeting visitors, answering multi-line phone systems, and directing calls with professional phone etiquette
  • Support office management tasks such as filing, proofreading documents, and organizing supplies
  • Assist with calendar management, appointment scheduling, and coordinating meetings for team members
  • Provide excellent customer support through phone and email correspondence, addressing inquiries promptly
  • Maintain organized filing systems both digitally (Google Workspace, Microsoft Office) and physically for easy access
  • Support personal assistant tasks as needed, including travel arrangements or special project coordination

Experience

  • Proven office experience with strong clerical skills and familiarity with office management procedures
  • Prior experience with bookkeeping using QuickBooks or similar accounting tools is highly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multi-line phone systems and manage busy front desk environments efficiently
  • Bilingual skills are a plus to assist diverse client needs and enhance communication
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced setting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace applications
  • Strong typing skills along with attention to detail for proofreading and data entry tasks
  • Experience in customer service roles such as medical or dental receptionist positions is advantageous
  • Knowledge of office etiquette, time management techniques, and confidentiality standards
