Bookkeeper/Controller

Mountain West Excavation is looking for a bookkeeper/controller to join the team. We are transitioning out of Quickbooks Online and into Spectrum. Spectrum experience is not required, but very desirable. This position will require someone that is driven, self-motivated, strong on problem solving, and capable of leading.

Responsibilities:

1. Bookkeeping and Financial Management:

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, send monthly commercial billing for projects.

- Track expenses by creating and managing purchase orders.

- Collaborate with external accountants to ensure accurate financial record-keeping.

2. Job Costing:

- Create purchase orders to manage COGS for every project.

- Identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize operations.

- Maintain a clean and organized office environment.

- Coordinate with IT support for any office technology or software needs.

3. Initial Software Setup/Implementation:

- Mountain West is transitioning to Spectrum bookkeeping software. The bookkeeper/controller will be spearheading the transition, and will be responsible for initial setup and implementation with the assistance of Trimble implementors.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
