Key Responsibilities:
- Operate the telehandler efficiently and safely to transport construction materials and equipment around the site.
- Load and unload goods from transport vehicles and place materials in designated storage or usage areas.
- Conduct daily equipment checks, including inspection of hydraulics, tires, fluids, and controls, and report any faults promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all site safety rules and company procedures to ensure a risk-free work environment.
- Work closely with supervisors, logistics teams, and tradesmen to meet site material handling needs.
- Support with material handling duties, including assisting other site machinery where necessary.
- Perform basic upkeep tasks to keep the machine in optimal working condition.
- Record and report material handling activities and movement logs accurately.
Requirements:
- Valid Telehandler Operator License or Certification from a recognized training institution.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience operating a telehandler in a construction or industrial setting.
- Solid knowledge of health and safety practices in heavy equipment operations.
- Ability to read and follow site plans, layout drawings, and verbal instructions.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Physically fit with the stamina to work in demanding outdoor environments.
- Responsible, punctual, and safety-conscious mindset.
