Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced BOQ Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, material take-offs, and ensuring accurate project documentation. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid knowledge of construction standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Conduct material take-offs, quantity calculations, and cost estimation.
- Review and interpret tender documents, contracts, and drawings for accuracy.
- Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
- Analyze project variations and prepare updated BOQs as needed.
- Assist in preparing cost comparisons, rate analysis, and technical documentation.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate and detailed project records and documentation.
Qualifications & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
- Minimum 4–5 years of experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, or quantity surveying roles.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software (advantage).
