BOQ Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced BOQ Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities, cost estimates, material take-offs, and ensuring accurate project documentation. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and solid knowledge of construction standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Conduct material take-offs, quantity calculations, and cost estimation.
• Review and interpret tender documents, contracts, and drawings for accuracy.
• Coordinate with the engineering, procurement, and project teams to ensure accurate costing.
• Analyze project variations and prepare updated BOQs as needed.
• Assist in preparing cost comparisons, rate analysis, and technical documentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, specifications, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed project records and documentation.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 4–5 years of experience in BOQ preparation, estimation, or quantity surveying roles.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and estimation software (advantage).
