Boutique Tailor

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boutique Tailor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for garment alterations, custom fittings, and bespoke tailoring while delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining the boutique’s quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform garment alterations (hemming, resizing, tapering, restyling, repairs)

• Create and modify bespoke garments as per client measurements and preferences

• Conduct accurate fittings and consultations with clients

• Advise customers on fabric, fit, and style options

• Operate and maintain sewing machines and tailoring equipment

• Ensure high-quality finishing and attention to detail

• Meet deadlines while maintaining craftsmanship standards

• Maintain a clean and organized workspace

• Collaborate with designers/sales staff as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a tailor (boutique or bespoke experience preferred)

• Strong knowledge of fabrics, garment construction, and alteration techniques

• Proficiency with industrial and domestic sewing machines

• Excellent hand-stitching skills

• Strong attention to detail and precision

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in tailoring/fashion design

• Experience with luxury or custom clothing

• Knowledge of current fashion trends
