Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Abaya Cutting & Stitching Tailor who specializes in modern and traditional abaya designs. The ideal candidate must be confident in cutting, stitching, and finishing abayas independently, with strong knowledge of different fabrics, cuts, and silhouettes.

This role requires attention to detail, clean finishing, and the ability to execute designs based on samples, sketches, or references.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and stitch abayas independently from start to finish
• Read and follow design samples, sketches, or reference images
• Work on different abaya cuts (A-line, straight cut, umbrella, front-open, kaftan style, etc.)
• Stitch using a variety of fabrics including Nada, Crepe, Georgette, Chiffon, Nidah, and similar materials
• Ensure proper fitting, fall, and finishing of garments
• Handle alterations and corrections when required
• Maintain consistent quality and timelines
• Follow instructions from designer/production lead

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in abaya stitching
• Strong experience in both cutting and stitching
• Ability to work on multiple fabrics and complex designs
• Experience with fine finishing (hems, cuffs, panels, sleeves, piping, etc.)
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, disciplined, and detail-oriented

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Experience working with fashion houses or abaya brands
• Ability to handle small production runs
• Experience in sample development
