Box Truck Driver

Duties

• Safely operate a box truck for local route deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
• Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed
• Verify delivery orders and ensure accuracy of shipments before dispatching
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, addressing any questions or concerns
• Plan efficient routes to optimize delivery times and reduce fuel consumption
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report any maintenance issues promptly, and maintain cleanliness of the truck
• Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving goods within the facility, and preparing shipments for delivery

Experience

• Previous commercial driving experience with a valid driver’s license suitable for operating a box truck or similar vehicle
• Experience with route driving, load & unload procedures, and courier services preferred
• Familiarity with warehouse operations including heavy lifting, moving items, and using equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in a delivery or courier role
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to manual transmission vehicles and heavy lifting techniques
• Ability to navigate using GPS or route planning tools effectively
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and reliability in meeting deadlines

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
