Box Truck Driver

Typical Job Duties

Here are the common responsibilities:

• Operating the vehicle safely: Drive a 26-ft box truck, often with a lift gate, following all traffic laws, safety regulations, and Amazon’s standards.
• Loading and unloading cargo: Using pallet jacks, straps, load bars, lift gates as needed. Handling freight between Amazon warehouses, post offices, etc.
• Route and operation via Amazon tools: Use Amazon Relay’s app, and Motive Keep Trucking app as your ELD.
• Maintaining schedule and performance: Being on time, meeting delivery windows, keeping safety, performance, and customer service metrics up.
• Vehicle checks and maintenance: Pre-trip and post-trip inspections, reporting problems, keeping the truck in safe operating condition.
• Documentation and compliance: Keeping records, logs, driver paperwork, perhaps following DOT rules (hours of service, etc.), clean driving record.

Key Requirements

To do this job, these are typical qualifications and equipment needs:

• Driver’s license: Valid license, Class D license.
• Clean driving record, clean MVR.
• Medical DOT card.
• AMAZON RELAY Experience required!

Pay: From $130.00 per day
