Branch Accountant

Job Summary:

The Branch Accountant is responsible for handling daily accounting activities, cash management, sales reconciliation, inventory coordination, supplier payment follow-up, and ensuring accurate financial records for the branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle daily branch accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Verify daily sales reports, POS transactions, and cash collections.
  • Perform daily cash reconciliation and coordinate bank deposits.
  • Monitor branch expenses and maintain proper documentation.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports.
  • Coordinate with the warehouse and inventory team for stock verification and adjustments.
  • Monitor supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment follow-ups.
  • Ensure proper filing of vouchers, invoices, and accounting documents.
  • Support internal and external audit requirements.
  • Monitor petty cash and ensure proper approval procedures.
  • Assist in payroll-related documentation and staff reimbursements when required.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the Head Office Finance Department for reporting and approvals.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in retail, supermarket, or hypermarket accounting.
  • Good knowledge of accounting software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and reconciliation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in retail or FMCG sector.
  • Knowledge of inventory accounting and stock control.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems.

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per hour
