POSITION SUMMARY: The Branch Director plays a vital leadership role in advancing the mission of the YMCA, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening communities through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under YMCA Leadership, the Branch Director is responsible for the daily operations including membership, staffing, facilities, and community partnerships. This position focuses on delivering high-quality services, maintaining strong community relationships, and ensuring operational efficiency. The Branch Director leads a team and fosters a positive member experience while upholding the core values and mission of the YMCA.
1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
2. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in program and staff management, preferably within the YMCA or similar nonprofit environment.
3. Proven ability to lead teams, oversee operations and implement strategic initiatives.
4. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
5. Experience in managing budgets and achieving financial goals.
1. Advance the YMCA’s mission and values by promoting an inclusive, welcoming, and service-oriented environment.
2. Manage day-to-day branch operations including staffing, member services, and building supervision.
3. Lead, train, and support front-line staff and volunteers to ensure high-quality service and safety standards.
4. Develop a strong sense of community within the branch by being present, visible, and engaged with members and staff.
5. Ensure the branch facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained, coordinating repairs and upkeep as needed.
6. Responsible for monitoring and managing the branch’s budget to ensure budget goals are being met.
7. Ensure compliance with YMCA policies, safety protocols, and risk management procedures.
8. Support fundraising efforts, including the Annual Campaign and community events, by building donor relationships, securing contributions, and engaging staff and volunteers in fundraising initiatives.
9. Maintain required staff certifications and ensure emergency preparedness procedures are in place and regularly practiced.
10. Build and maintain relationships with local partners and stakeholders to support community visibility and collaboration.
11. Support association-wide initiatives and participate in leadership meetings as assigned.
12. Complete all required compliance and professional development training annually or as assigned.
13. Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs of the branch.
