Branch Manager - Retail Store

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management

  • Supervise daily store operations including opening, closing, and cash handling procedures.
  • Ensure shelves are fully stocked and displays are attractive and in line with merchandising standards.
  • Monitor product freshness and expiry dates, and manage waste control effectively.
  • Ensure all departments (grocery, produce, frozen, meat, etc.) run efficiently.

2. Staff Supervision & Development

  • Lead, train, and motivate store staff to achieve sales and service goals.
  • Prepare staff schedules and ensure adequate shift coverage.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions when required.
  • Foster a positive work environment promoting teamwork and accountability.

3. Customer Service

  • Maintain high standards of customer satisfaction and promptly resolve complaints or queries.
  • Ensure staff deliver professional, friendly, and helpful service at all times.

4. Sales & Financial Management

  • Monitor daily sales performance and achieve revenue and profit targets.
  • Control store expenses and minimize losses due to theft or wastage.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports.

5. Inventory & Procurement

  • Manage stock levels, order replenishment, and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular stock audits and ensure proper storage and rotation.
  • Reduce overstocking and manage slow-moving or expired products.

6. Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure the store complies with all local regulations, including health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the store and equipment.
  • Enforce company policies and standard operating procedures.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Retail Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in supermarket or retail store management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and MS Office.
  • Knowledge of UAE retail regulations (preferred).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED4,000.00 - AED5,000.00 per month
