Job Purpose:
To oversee the complete operations of the wholesale branch, ensuring sales growth, efficient inventory management, customer satisfaction, and team performance in line with company objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly and yearly sales targets.
- Drive wholesale business growth (retailers, restaurants, bulk buyers).
- Develop new customer base and expand existing accounts.
- Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, and demand patterns.
2. Branch Operations Management
- Manage day-to-day branch operations efficiently.
- Ensure proper stock availability and product display.
- Maintain smooth coordination between sales, warehouse, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
3. Inventory & Stock Control
- Monitor stock levels and avoid shortages/overstocking.
- Ensure FIFO (First In First Out) and proper stock rotation.
- Reduce wastage, expiry, and damages.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliation.
4. Team Management
- Supervise sales staff, tele-sales team, and warehouse employees.
- Assign targets and monitor individual performance.
- Conduct training and development for staff.
- Maintain discipline, attendance, and productivity.
5. Customer Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with key wholesale customers.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure high service standards and customer retention.
6. Financial & Cost Control
- Monitor branch expenses and profitability.
- Ensure proper billing, invoicing, and cash handling.
- Coordinate with finance for collections and credit control.
- Control operational costs and improve margins.
7. Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with municipality and food safety regulations.
- Maintain hygiene standards in warehouse and sales areas.
- Follow health & safety guidelines.
8. Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Analyze KPIs and suggest improvements.
- Report branch performance to management.

- Sales revenue & growth

- Stock turnover ratio
- Customer acquisition & retention
- Wastage / expiry percentage
- Team productivity
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business / Commerce or related field.
- 5–8 years of experience in FMCG wholesale/retail operations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Good knowledge of inventory systems and ERP/CRM tools.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
