Purpose of Role
The Brand & Marketing Manager will build love and relevance for our PizzaExpress UAE business and so drive dine in and delivery cover growth and sales by deploying talent and effective budgets across owned and paid media channels, creating buzz and fame through world class content, fuelling sales overnight with killer promotional programmes, heroing iconic products (dough balls anyone?) and leveraging assets from around the business for maximum impact!
We are in growth mode – so this role will also support New Restaurant / New Concept Openings and Remodel Transformations with a holistic marketing plan. Ensuring PizzaExpress remains UAE’s favourite and constantly evolving the brand in an increasingly sophisticated marketplace both physically and digitally.
What will you be doing?
- Create and drive marketing strategies to meet the revenue and growth objectives of the company
- Conceptualize, implement, and manage all the digital & social media marketing campaigns, events, and PR – relevant initiatives to ensure the brand and its identity are attractive, clear, and widely understood within the UAE restaurants
- Formulate annual digital & social strategies to achieve the optimum level of focus on brand equity, consumer needs and commercial targets
- Maintain close relationship with internal and external parties on planning and implementing business plans, and working closely with UK and Hong Kong marketing teams to share and implement best practice & max ROI on marketing assets
- Put food and the flair of our teams front and centre of all we do
- Drive marketing strategies to increase social and digital presence for our Licensed restaurants
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify the gaps, market opportunities, project flexibility and set realistic KPI’s, prepare monthly summary on promotions and activity forecast
- Provide support with new restaurant openings. Liaise with external agencies to identify opportunities and bring together recommendations across all the communication channels, share with Operations team to ascertain which elements will be required
- Collaborate with the Finance team to evaluate and plan menu pricing strategies targeting profit maximization and successfully capture the market share keeping customer delight insights
- Explore marketing opportunities and work closely with the local distributors on implementation of marketing initiatives and loyalty programs
- Plan and manage all the events (including our live music events!) scheduled for the year and ensure complete execution and administration. Special attention needs to be given to our licensed restaurant in order to grow their brand and market share more than what it is now.
- Work closely with direct reports to monitor and develop team members’ responsibilities, digital savviness, advise on projects and in motivating them
- Prepare and present quarterly and annual reports to the management on the success of marketing plans with further plans of development
What are we looking for?
- A rockstar with a passion for pizza and a willingness to learn and get stuck in!
- Minimum 5 years relevant working experience in Marketing, PR, Advertising, or related fields. Experience in F&B / hospitality and/or music industry is a plus
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Marketing / Digital Communications / Public Relations or relevant disciplines
- Extensive knowledge of UAE’s F&B market and its trends
- Must have good taste in music,working closely with our Entertainment manager
- Dynamic, resourceful, multi-tasked and able to articulate business objectives
- Great interpersonal communication and consumer service skills
- Strong analytical, time management and organizational skills
- Must have the ability to create and maintain strong business relationships
- Immediate availability is highly preferred
- Must be willing to relocate to the UAE (for applicants applying overseas)
- Valid UAE driving license is a plus
