Position Overview
The Brand Merchandising Assistant is responsible for day-to-day activities surrounding style data entry and maintenance to support the Polo brand merchandising, design, production and global commercial teams.

Provide ongoing GFE and Vibe system management, sample management, preparation of adoption/line opening materials.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Drive accurate and timely data entry and day-to-day data maintenance
  • Oversee the end-to-end style definition process in our system called Vibe for all Polo brands and distribution channels globally
  • Manage communication on daily basis with cross-functional teams globally
  • Run MicroStrategy and Vibe reports to track global buy data seasonally and partner with cross-functional teams to ensure styles meet minimum order quantities
  • Enter seasonal samples into our Ralph Lauren GFE+ system and assist in the sample tracking process
  • Participate in design meetings as directed by the category merchant/manager, with the opportunity to lead and manage small-category merchandising processes.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects and work with the team as requests arise
  • Manage meeting invites via Outlook
  • Support team with research on competitive landscape and trend relevant information
  • Own PRO lifecycle through assortment menu creation, approval process and system set up.
  • Assist with Key Milestone meetings such as line review and adoption.
  • Assist category merchant with line planning by creating assortment documents and sell-out data.

  • Strong analytical and retail math skills.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal & teamwork skills.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented & accurate.
  • Resourceful, efficient and able to take initiative.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Priority and time management.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, Retail Math, MicroStrategy and GFE+.
  • Demonstrate a strong desire to grow within merchandising by actively learning category strategy, brand standards, and core merchandising skill sets.Computer Skills: Proficiency in MS Office applications, Retail Math, Adobe applications, MicroStrategy and GFE+.
