Purpose of the Role


The Brand Strategy Lead’s role is to define and drive the strategic direction of the brands we work with. They shape what the brand stands for, who it speaks to, and how it expresses itself across every touchpoint from social media to storytelling.

They blend strategic thinking with cultural intuition, understanding people, trends, and how brands connect emotionally in today’s fast-changing world. This role is hands-on: it’s about building brands that feel real, relevant, and resonant.

They also collaborate with Tribe X client partner teams to elevate brand thinking across accounts ensuring every creative brief is grounded in human insight, clear direction, and cultural relevance.


Responsibilities


Each responsibility is designed to be measurable, owned, and results oriented.


Define and Deliver Brand Clarity

Support the creation of brand strategies that are simple, inspiring, and actionable.
    • Ensure each brand’s foundation is documented, presented, and approved within defined timelines.

Guide and Enable Client Partner Teams

Co-design and run training sessions that help account and client-facing teams master brand thinking and briefing.
    • Measure success by how effectively teams can brief creatives with clarity and confidence.

Bridge Strategy with Digital and Social

Translate brand foundations into digital behavior ensuring tone, content, and creative output stay true to the brand online.
    • Partner with creative and media teams to maintain alignment between strategy and execution.

Drive Insight and Cultural Relevance

Continuously bring social, cultural, and consumer insights into the agency.
    • Contribute to internal sessions or updates that keep Tribe X thinking ahead of the curve.

Maintain Strategic Quality and Consistency

Support in reviewing and refining strategic outputs to ensure excellence across teams.
    • Help develop tools, templates, and frameworks that raise the standard of brand building across the agency.

Qualifications & Experience

Must-Have:

5–7 years of experience in brand strategy, planning, or creative strategy, ideally within digital-first or integrated agencies.
    • Proven experience contributing to brand platforms from positioning and storytelling to tone of voice.
    • Strong understanding of digital culture and how people engage with brands online.
    • Curiosity about people and culture able to spot and explain emerging behaviors.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • A collaborative mindset, thrives in guiding teams and learning from others.


Nice to Have:

Experience with luxury, lifestyle, or purpose-driven brands.
    • Understanding of creative production, media, or content planning.
    • Comfort facilitating internal or client workshops.
