The State of New Hampshire, Lottery Commission has a full-time vacancy for Brands and Communications Manager.

Summary:

To develop and implement brand and promotional marketing plans, strategies, advertising, and communications programs for the NH Lottery. To collaborate with other teams on promotions and external communications to ensure their marketing and graphic design needs are represented and supported.

YOUR EXPERIENCE COUNTS : Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree and 3 years of experience OR equivalent combination of 7 years of education and experience after completion of high school. Education and experience must be in marketing, advertising, communications, public relations, or related experience.

License/Certification: Valid driver's license or access to transportation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Two years of supervisory, management or consultant level position is preferred. Knowledge and experience executing marketing tactics, must be analytical and creative. Knowledge of graphic designing. Strong Microsoft Office skills, presentation skills. Knowledge of all aspects of advertising- both traditional and digital. Knowledge of journalistic principals and functions and must be an excellent writer and editor. Experience with digital marketing, rewards programs, and CRM helpful. Extensive experience using Adobe Illustrator to complete various types of graphics.

When applicable, the work of an employee in trainee status in this position shall be overseen by a fully qualified individual. Responsibilities:

Develops and executes short and long-term advertising initiatives and an annual promotional plan, including monthly print media, retail Point of Sale (POS) and promotions, and ticket advertising, to ensure visibility and consistency of the NH Lottery brand on all messages and communications.

Creates tracking mechanisms to obtain and analyze data on initiatives and promotional plans to ensure they are on track to achieve their objectives and makes recommendations based on the findings.

Writes and creates content for retailer and player newsletters, shipping inserts, and social media posts, develops content for surveys, distributes notable press to staff, and ensures website and player app is up to date and reflective of brand, current lottery tickets, promotional efforts and jackpots. Reviews external communications to ensure alignment with brand message and vision. Responds to media inquiries.

Manages second chance drawings to include coordinating regular meetings with team, drafting rules, writing winner letters, ensuring website and drawing schedule are updated with appropriate information, coordinating fulfillment with vendor partners, tracking all aspects of the program, and coordinating events.

Serves as liaison and guides marketing agency of record, communications agency, Tri State Lotto Group, other vendor partners, state agencies and internal business units to address programmatic needs and ensures deliverables and responsibilities are fulfilled.

Plans, coordinates, and executes events from identifying location, coordinating schedules, outreach to partners (vendors, retailers, and government agencies, etc.), coordinating audio/visual, agenda, logistics and advertisement/promotion of event, as well as communications and press coverage, when applicable. This includes, but is not limited to, second chance drawings, scratch incentive check presentations, press events, store promotions, and Tri State events.

Responsible for writing and maintaining the frequently asked questions section of the Lottery website, ensuring Lottery stakeholders are informed of marketing initiatives, and provides content for customer relationship management knowledge base.

Supports the Director of Marketing and marketing team on agency programs and initiatives. Provides graphic design expertise to support projects including the creation and presentation of design drafts.
