The Breeding Worker is responsible for assisting with camel breeding operations, ensuring proper handling of camels during examinations and procedures, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in breeding areas. The role requires close collaboration with veterinary staff and adherence to farm policies to ensure the health and safety of the animals.
Camel Handling & Breeding Procedures:
- Collect, handle, and bring camels for breeding examinations, injections, and reproduction-related procedures.
- Assist veterinary doctors and assistants by bringing camels inside the stocks and ensuring proper control.
- Follow direct supervisor's instructions for breeding procedures between male and female camels.
- Accompany camels that are taken outside the farm for breeding, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Cleaning & Maintenance Duties:
- Clean and maintain the examination hall, stocks, and tables after use.
- Properly clean and store the ultrasound machine after each use.
- Clean camel drinkers and report any malfunctions in the automatic watering system.
- Maintain cleanliness in pens, accommodation areas, and general farm spaces.
- Remove camel waste, feed remains, old hay, and alfalfa from storage areas.
- Clean feed troughs regularly to ensure hygiene.
Animal Care & Health Monitoring:
- Provide care for calves under the guidance of a supervisor or veterinary assistant.
- Observe camels for signs of sickness and report any concerns immediately to the veterinary doctor or assistant.
