Job Description: Bricks4Kidz Robotics & Coding Instructor (Ground-Based)

About Bricks4Kidz
Bricks4Kidz delivers hands-on, project-based STEM education for children aged 5–14, with a LEGO-based curriculum that emphasizes practical robotics, coding, engineering, and problem-solving. Our educators ignite curiosity, foster collaboration, and build confidence through safe, student-centered learning experiences.
Role Summary
Deliver engaging, on-the-ground robotics and coding sessions; translate complex concepts into age-appropriate activities; manage classrooms; assess and communicate student progress; and support program planning, safety, and parent engagement. A strong communicator with hands-on technical expertise and a passion for student learning.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver 6–12 student robotics/coding sessions per group, ages 5–14; adapt lessons to diverse learning needs.
Plan and execute age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Bricks4Kidz curricula, safety standards, and learning objectives.
Facilitate hands-on activities with LEGO robotics kits (WeDo, SPIKE Prime, Mindstorms) and beginner coding environments (Scratch, Blockly); guide build, test, debug, and present projects.
Assess learning progression using rubrics, portfolios, and formative feedback; maintain student progress records.
Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment; enforce safety protocols and equipment care.
Collaborate with Branch Manager and curriculum team to adapt modules, support camps, and client events; assist with demonstrations when needed.
Communicate with parents/guardians about progress, milestones, and next steps; prepare brief progress updates.
Track attendance, session notes, and equipment inventory; report issues to the Branch Manager.
Stay current with Bricks4Kidz pedagogy, STEM trends, and coding tools; participate in training as required.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on robotics and coding experience with children; strong familiarity with LEGO robotics kits (WeDo, SPIKE Prime, Mindstorms) and entry-level coding platforms (Scratch, Blockly, etc.).
Prior teaching or tutoring experience in a classroom or workshop setting; patient, enthusiastic, and clear communicator.
Ability to explain technical concepts in simple, age-appropriate terms; engaging storytelling and presentation skills.
Strong classroom management and safety awareness; ability to create an inclusive learning environment.
Organizational skills: lesson planning, progress tracking, and objective-based delivery.
Availability for on-site sessions, including after-school hours, weekends, or school holidays as needed.
Education background in STEM, Education, or related field preferred; equivalent hands-on teaching experience considered.
Language: English proficiency required; local language support preferred.
Desirable Qualifications
Experience with educational franchises or STEM camps.
Familiarity with assessment rubrics, portfolios, and progress reporting.
Multilingual abilities; familiarity with diverse classroom contexts.
Performance Metrics
Student engagement and attendance rates; classroom participation.
Mastery of learning objectives; progress toward portfolio milestones.
Quality and creativity of student projects; impact on student confidence.
Feedback from students, parents, and partner schools; Net Promoter Score or equivalent.
