Expected salary range for this position is $25.72 to $34.73 per hour.

Job Summary:

The BSA/AML KYC Analyst is responsible for performing end-to-end reviews of new and existing members to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and know your customer (“KYC”) and Customer Identification Procedure (“CIP”) best practices. This includes verifying member identity, beneficial ownership, and the purpose of relationships, as well as assessing and assigning risk ratings based on KYC/CIP standards. This position will manage documentation workflows, monitor and resolve updated document requests, and escalate red flags or high-risk cases as needed.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform KYC reviews for new and existing customers by verifying customer identity, beneficial ownership, and assessing the nature and purpose of the customer relationship, ensuring all customer documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant. Conduct periodic reviews to maintain ongoing compliance and investigate any changes in customer profiles or activity, requesting additional documentation as needed.
  • Monitor documentation requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Confirm that branches have scanned documents into iDentifi, and then the KYC analyst will attach the documents to the appropriate Verafin case as applicable.
  • Review and action KYC/CIP referrals from various FourLeaf business units.
  • Review active High-Risk Customer (“HRC”) alerts and assign risk ratings to designated business members within FourLeaf’s risk and case management system. Evaluate and categorize customer risk levels in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and best practices. Escalate cases with identified red flags to the HRC Analyst for further review.
  • Assist in training new team members or business units on KYC requirements, procedures, and risk indicators.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as Compliance, Risk, Fraud, Retail Banking, and Business Banking, to obtain or clarify member information and resolve KYC discrepancies or escalations.
  • Identify gaps or inefficiencies in the KYC process and recommend improvements to enhance compliance and operational effectiveness, communicating findings to management.
  • Monitor regulatory changes as they relate to the BSA program and participate in ongoing training to stay current in BSA/AML industry trends and legislation.
  • Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned by management, including AML alert reviews, case investigations, and other tasks related to the BSA/AML program and compliance functions.

Certifications: Certified Know Your Customer Associate (CKYCA), Certified Transaction Monitoring Associate (CTMA) preferred.

Experience

Required
  • 2 - 4 years: 2+ years of experience opening and reviewing business accounts
  • 1 - 2 years: Knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and OFAC compliance and various BSA/AML typologies
  • 1 - 2 years: 1+ years BSA/AML compliance role, preferably within credit union or financial services
  • 1 - 2 years: 1+ years of experience working in a KYC
Preferred
  • 1 - 2 years: At least 1 year of previous SAR writing experience preferred
