The Academy

GEMS World Academy-Dubai (GWA) is a private, co-educational IB World School for PreK to Grade 12 students, established in 2008 as part of GEMS Education. The Role

Our Business department has transformed student outcomes and succeeded in inspiring a love of learning at GEMS World Academy. This has been achieved through the dedication of staff, their exceptional subject knowledge, and the department's forward-thinking approach to data and the curriculum. The Business department is highly regarded among our student body for the care and personal support offered to students. Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor of Education degree, or an initial degree plus a relevant teaching qualification such as a PGCE, PGDE or equivalent specialism in Business
• Advanced qualifications are preferred but not essential
• A minimum of 3 years experience teaching Secondary Business, ideally within an IB curriculum school, however, this is not mandatory
• Proven experience teaching BTEC Business
• A strong understanding of the IB MYP & DP framework and Approaches to Teaching is preferred
• A strong desire to continually improve their practice and deliver outstanding teaching and learning experiences for their students
• The experience, personality and educational philosophy that aligns with a leading IB World School like GEMS World Academy
• August 2026 availability
