Business BTEC Level 3 International Programme Key responsibilities:
- To plan, resource and deliver imaginative, interactive and inspiring schemes of learning and lessons that ensure that all students make excellent progress and attain at high levels.
- To create a nurturing and stimulating learning experience and environment that nurtures students.
- To maintain/establish extremely high standards of positive behaviour for learning across the whole school.
- To provide stimulating and enriching extra-curricular/enrichment opportunities for students.
- To be accountable for student progress and attainment levels, and wider enrichment provision and uptake.
- To teach highly-engaging and effective lessons that motivate, inspire and involve students and ensure outstanding student outcomes.
- To use very regular assessments to monitor progress and set targets, utilising a full range of AFL strategies.
- To maintain regular, positive, and professional communication with parents, to report on progress, targets and achievements.
- To demonstrate a commitment to equality of opportunity for all members of the community.
- To positively and actively contribute to self-leadership across this newly-established phase in our Sixth Form College.
- To be both positive and proactive in issues of student welfare, support and guidance, demonstrating commitment to understanding and supporting Dubai s vision, and understanding the opportunities within the international and national landscapes in the higher education institutions across the UAE and beyond.
- To lead on academic and careers guidance, and run enrichment very regularly to enhance the provision of BTEC in our Sixth Form College.
- To promote, support and fully contribute to the upholding of all school polices with consistency and diligence
- To contribute to the effective working of the Sixth Form College.
Qualification and experience:
- Honors Degree in Marketing and PGCE / PGDE or equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years' experience of teaching BTEC International Level 3.
- The ability to share your outstanding practice.
- Interested in career growth, leadership, sustainability.
- A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
