Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating exceptional coffee experiences for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee beverages, maintaining a clean and inviting café environment, and providing outstanding customer service. Duties

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards.
• Operate café equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, and blenders, ensuring proper maintenance and cleanliness.
• Assist with food preparation, including pastries and light snacks, while adhering to food safety guidelines.
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Handle cash transactions efficiently using the cash register, ensuring accurate cash handling practices.
• Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment to create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.

Experience

• Previous experience in the food service or café industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with coffee preparation techniques and knowledge of different coffee beans is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
• Basic understanding of retail math for handling transactions accurately.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours efficiently.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $17.25 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week
