Responsibilities
Assists in the development of the annual agency budget work program, annual budget request, and annual legislative hearing documents.
Leads monthly budget meetings with assigned departments.
Reviews and approves purchase requests and invoices for assigned departments to ensure accuracy and availability of funding.
Compiles data related to agency financial transactions and operations, revenues, and expenditures.
Assists assigned departments as needed on various budget inquiries
Collaborates with other areas within the Finance team on various tasks
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday.
The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.
This position may require lifting, moving, or carrying up to 25 pounds of paper.
Occasional travel may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, economics, accounting or finance; or
An equivalent combination of education and experience in one of the above areas.
Experience in PeopleSoft CORE applications preferred.
