The Budget Analyst supports federal budget formulation, execution, and financial reporting activities. This role ensures alignment with federal budget processes and provides analytical support for financial planning and performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support budget formulation, execution, and tracking activities
  • Analyze budget data and financial performance
  • Prepare reports and supporting documentation for leadership
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting
  • Support reconciliation of financial data and reporting accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with federal budget processes and guidance
Required Technical Skills
  • Advanced Excel and financial analysis tools
  • Budget analysis and reporting techniques
  • Data analysis and financial tracking
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 5–8+ years of budget or financial management experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting:
    • Federal budgeting processes
    • Government financial reporting
  • Familiarity with:
    • OMB guidance
    • Federal financial systems
