Budget and Financial Planning Analyst

Temporary Budget & Financial Planning Analyst (Contract) – Hybrid (Mission Valley, San Diego) – $35–$47/hour

Looking to step into a fast-paced, hands-on FP&A engagement where you can make an immediate impact? This is a short-term contract opportunity with a well-established, mission-driven nonprofit organization supporting critical community programs, offering meaningful work, strong leadership access, and a high level of autonomy.

Who you are:

• 5+ years of FP&A or technical accounting experience, ideally in complex, multi-program environments
• Advanced Excel user with strong financial modeling skills (macros and advanced functionality preferred)
• Comfortable moving quickly, owning work independently, and stepping into organizations mid-stream
  
  
  

What you’ll do:

• Support development of the FY27 organizational and program-level budgets, including consolidation and forecasting
• Perform scenario planning and financial modeling to support leadership decision-making
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis, audit support, and improvements to budgeting tools and templates

What does this position pay?

Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, experience level, and education.

The expected range for this role is $35–$47 per hour. Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.
