Position: Budgeting & Cost Estimation Team Leader

Summary:

As the Budgeting & Cost Estimation Team Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team of budgeting and cost estimation professionals to ensure the accurate and timely estimation of project costs. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop detailed budgets and cost estimates for our various real estate projects. This is a critical role in our organization as accurate budgeting and cost estimation is essential for the success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of budgeting and cost estimation professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure the team meets their goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain budgets and cost estimates for all stages of the project, from initial planning to completion
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information and data for accurate budgeting and cost estimation
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to identify potential cost implications and provide recommendations to optimize costs
  • Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project managers and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of budgeting and cost estimation processes
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in budgeting and cost estimation to continuously improve our processes and techniques
  • Train and mentor team members to ensure their professional growth and development


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in budgeting and cost estimation, preferably in the real estate or construction industry
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team
  • Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, and cost control principles
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in using budgeting and cost estimation software and tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
