DUTIES

Greet customers for rentals and special events; monitor rentals and special events.

Routinely inspect the integrity and security of building fixtures appliances and the greater property for any security or safety concerns; notify leadership immediately if not able to resolve issue.

Identify and report security risks; compile and submit work orders, as needed.

Complete, track and maintain Building Maintenance Logs.
-
Set up for rentals and/or special events, including but not limited to tables, chairs, and event signage.
-
Clean center and ensure overall appearance of facility is in proper order.

Assist in the enforcement of department, site, and program rules and/or regulations, and safety precautions.

Assist at front desk in case of staff shortages.

High School diploma or equivalent; and,

Any combination of related education, experience, certifications, and licenses that will result in a candidate successfully performing the essential functions of the job.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT-
Must pass a drug test, criminal history background check and social security number verification.

If works at Civic Center: Must have and maintain a valid Class “C” Driver’s License and valid state required minimum automobile liability insurance prior to employment (must obtain Texas Class “C” driver’s license and state required minimum automobile liability insurance within 90 days of hire per state law)

If works at Civic Center: Must pass a drug test, driver’s license check, criminal history background check and social security number verification.

Must pass a physical examination.

Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment; ensure equipment is in safe operating condition.

Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting and climbing; operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.

Promptly report unsafe conditions in the work area and/or any conditions that are not immediately correctable to the supervisor.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS-
Safety Sensitive (Subject to random drug testing): Yes.

Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment, including computer and peripherals, and janitorial equipment including but not limited to mop, towels, broom, and cleaning products; wearappropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

If works at Civic Center: Operation of a 15-passenger van.

Posture: Prolonged sitting and standing; moderate stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, pushing/pulling, and twisting.

Motion: Frequent repetitive hand motions, including keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching.

Lifting: Lifting no more than 50 pounds and carrying up to 25 pounds.

Environment: Works in an office setting office with exposure to potentially aggressive youth, noise, dust, chemicals, odors, and heights; occasionally requires irregular and/or prolonged hours.

Travel: Travels to City of Denton buildings and professional meetings as required.

Attendance: Regular and punctual attendance at the worksite is required for this position. Must be able to work Monday through Friday from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and holidays, andweekends, as needed.

Mental Demands: Maintains emotional control under stress; works with frequent interruptions.
