Building Electrician

Job Purpose:

We are seeking skilled and experienced Building Electricians to carry out electrical installation works on construction and building sites. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in wiring, conduit works, DB installation, and troubleshooting electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment on building sites.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
• Install conduit, wiring, distribution boards (DBs), sockets, switches, lighting fixtures, and earthing systems.
• Conduct testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Ensure work is performed in compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and company quality standards.
• Collaborate with site engineers, supervisors, and other trades to ensure smooth workflow.
• Identify and report material requirements and defects to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools and equipment in proper working condition.
• Follow site safety protocols and attend safety briefings as required.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or equivalent technical certification.
• Minimum 2–5 years of hands-on experience in building electrical installations.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, load calculations, and safety procedures.
• Ability to work from drawings and specifications independently.
• Good physical condition and willingness to work in outdoor construction environments.
• Knowledge of DEWA/SEWA/FEWA standards (preferred for UAE).
