About the Role:
This is a full-time position andon-site, hybrid or work from home is not an option.
The successful candidate willperform electrical and mechanical maintenance to equipment and buildingservices. Assures the equipment is being maintained in a safe manner. Minimizesdown time through proactive performance testing and scheduled maintenance.
This job requires an HVAC(heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration) technician toperform maintenance, repair, and installation tasks on building systems,equipment, and instruments. The role involves supervising and mentoring others,working within guidelines and policies, and collaborating with BMS (BuildingManagement System) to ensure efficient operation of buildings.
This job is part of theEngineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible forproviding support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment andsystems.
What You’ll Do:- Install, repair, adjust, serviceand maintain electrical, steam, and chilled water systems used for buildingheating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems andequipment, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and controlcomponents.
- Inspect and conduct ongoingmaintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure accurate operation ofequipment and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and worksafety.
- Fix equipment failures andidentify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Mentor others and share in-depthknowledge of own job subject area and broad knowledge of several job fieldswithin the function.
- Lead by example and modelbehaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Work to build consensusand convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer,operational, project or service activities within own team and other relatedteams.
- Work within broad guidelines andpolicies.
- Work with BMS routinely tosupervise, adjust, and tackle building.
- Diagnose and repairself-contained refrigeration equipment such as 4°C, -20°C, and -80°C units.
What You’ll Need:- High School Diploma, GED, ortrade school diploma or equivalent experience required, with 4-5 years ofjob-related experience. Prior shift manager or supervisory experiencepreferred.
- Meet the physical requirementsof this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and theability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgmentbased on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a newperspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of MicrosoftOffice products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Organizational skills with asophisticated inquisitive attitude.
- Ability to calculate mildlycomplex figures such as percentages, fractions, and other financial-relatedcalculations.
