The General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations in a building supply and materials center. This role requires a strategic, hands-on leader who can drive performance, strengthen customer relationships, and maintain operational excellence across all departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily operations to ensure a safe, organized, and customer-focused environment.
- Develop and oversee budgets, sales goals, and business strategies to meet performance targets.
- Analyze financial and operational data to identify opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Supervise purchasing, inventory control, and merchandising to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Lead and coach team members, promoting accountability, engagement, and professional growth.
- Build and maintain strong customer and vendor relationships to support business development.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and company standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing, building supply, or industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, distribution, and inventory management.
- Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and execute business plans.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with management software and reporting systems.
