Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Building Materials Purchaser cum Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for procuring high-quality building materials at competitive prices while managing their timely delivery to project sites. This dual-role position requires excellent negotiation skills, a good understanding of construction materials, and a valid UAE driving license.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement of Materials:
• Source, evaluate, and purchase building materials required for ongoing projects.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices, terms, and quality.
• Ensure materials meet project specifications and quality standards.
• Supplier Relationship Management:
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
• Identify new suppliers to expand procurement options.
• Delivery Management:
• Drive company vehicles to transport materials from suppliers to project sites or warehouses.
• Plan efficient delivery routes to save time and reduce fuel costs.
• Ensure materials are delivered in good condition and on schedule.
• Inventory and Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, invoices, and delivery receipts.
• Track inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse/storekeeper for stock updates.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Follow all safety protocols for handling and transporting materials.
• Ensure vehicle maintenance and compliance with UAE driving regulations.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and storekeepers to identify material needs.
• Provide regular updates on procurement and delivery status.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in procurement or logistics are a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in building materials procurement.
• Valid UAE driving license with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with local suppliers and construction materials.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
• Basic computer skills for maintaining records and generating reports.

Working Conditions:

• Split between office, supplier locations, and project sites.
• May require working flexible hours to accommodate delivery schedules.
