Job Title: Building Renovation Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Renovation Engineer to oversee, design, and manage renovation projects for residential, commercial, and industrial structures. The role involves evaluating existing buildings, preparing renovation plans, ensuring compliance with safety standards, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, and delivering projects within scope, budget, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments of existing buildings to identify renovation requirements (structural, electrical, mechanical, or aesthetic).
• Develop detailed renovation plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Estimate costs, prepare budgets, and ensure cost-effective execution of projects.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, safety, and environmental standards.
• Collaborate with architects, designers, contractors, and project managers.
• Supervise on-site activities and monitor progress to ensure quality workmanship.
• Manage procurement of renovation materials and liaise with suppliers.
• Prepare and present reports, including project updates, risk assessments, and completion status.
• Introduce sustainable and energy-efficient solutions in renovation projects.
• Resolve any technical issues or design modifications during execution.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• Proven experience (3–7 years) in building renovation, construction, or restoration projects.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, materials, and modern renovation techniques.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other design/project management software.
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of sustainable building practices and green certifications (LEED, BREEAM, etc.).
• Familiarity with historical building restoration.
• Experience in cost control and contract management.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
