Business Analyst

Job Purpose


  • Analyse and optimize business processes, identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions that drive growth and efficiency.
  • Serve as thought leader for technical business processes, developing systems prototypes that promote increased efficiency and productivity on multiple levels
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key areas of focus, design intuitive solutions and address pain points.
  • Perform, evaluate, and communicate thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.
  • Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability


Job Accountabilities


Description

  • Partner with stakeholders across business units (ex: Retail, Wholesale, Operations, Finance, etc.) to develop analyses and documentation in a collaborative way, communicating effectively and efficiently with production, managerial, and executive teams.
  • Identify potential consequences of a change and estimate what needs to be done modified to achieve that change.
  • Engage with product owners, business SMEs, users and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of project requirements and solution/ capability design.
  • Communicate systems requirements and maintain systems processes.
  • Develop and maintain detailed mind maps/ process maps/ other diagrams that accurately depict current and future state processes
  • Analyse business processes and workflows to identify opportunities of improvements.
  • Provide advice/ guidance to the project teams on application of methodologies, operating model, functional specification, use cases, user stories, defect analysis, etc


Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or computer science.

Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in financial services/ banking sector as a BA.

Job Specific Skills

  • Well-versed with retail and wholesale banking processes.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Certification / Training

  • Experience in Banking or Projects delivery.

Generic Skills Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PPT, Word) including Visio.
