Will serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the Data & Analytics team . This individual will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements for analytics solutions, translating them into clear technical deliverables, testing and supporting the development and adoption of Power BI dashboards and Microsoft Fabric datasets.
The BI Business Analyst will manage intake through Jira, collaborate with department leads (Finance,Operations, Marketing, Supply Chain, Business Development), and help align reporting needs to the enterprise KPI framework.
- Conduct stakeholder interviews and requirement-gathering sessions to understand business needs,KPIs, and success metrics.
- Document and translate business requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria using Jira and Confluence.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Architects and BI Developers to ensure requirements are accurately implemented within Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
- Perform data validation, testing, and UAT coordination before report releases.
- Query and analyze data directly from Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse / Warehouse to support ad-hoc business questions and data discovery.
- Create and maintain BI documentation, including data dictionaries, report catalogs, and dashboard user guides.
- Maintain the analytics request pipeline, monitor priorities, and communicate status updates to stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, BI Analyst, or related analytics role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Power BI (report building, DAX, model relationships, visuals, publishing).
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, including the ability to query data from Warehouse/Lakehouse using SQL or native Fabric tools.
- Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
