ANNUAL SALARY: $62,000 - $68,000 (based upon credentials)
The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.
This is a temporary, full-time, benefit-eligible position that could end as early as June 30, 2028.

The Department of Economic Development (DED) is in the process of updating a myriad of systems in effort of streamlining processes to improve our customer and team member experience. This position will assist the team with gathering system and business requirements to develop our new Salesforce system. This position will include training that could lead to a paid Salesforce certification.

Responsibilities - What you’ll do
Business Analysis & Process Improvement
- Develop and map digital processes in coordination with stakeholders and Lean Six Sigma practices.
- Analyze business processes and operational workflows to develop clear system and process requirements.
- Create requirements matrices and evaluation frameworks.
- Assist in developing data dictionaries, system crosswalks, and documentation for current and future systems.
Documentation, Training & Support
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Create and update Salesforce user guides and system documentation.
- Provide ongoing user training, support, and knowledge transfer to business teams.
- Serve as a point of contact for system questions, enhancements, and issue resolution.
System Ticket Management
- Manage the system ticketing intake process, prioritizing requests and coordinating resolution.
- Track enhancements, defects, and support requests to ensure timely and effective delivery.
Reporting, Data & Governance
- Design, develop, and maintain reports, dashboards, and KPIs to support business decision-making.
- Develop and maintain a data governance plan to ensure consistency, accuracy, and accountability of enterprise data.
- Monitor system data quality and recommend corrective or preventive measures as needed.
Qualifications - All you need for success
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience as a Business Analyst supporting enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong analytical, documentation, and process-mapping skills.
- Experience translating business requirements into technical solutions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis for denying consideration to any applicant.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Expertise in documenting enterprise system requirements.
- Experience supporting system implementations or data migrations.
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma, process improvement, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with data governance, reporting, and KPI development in enterprise systems.
- Experience working with cross-functional internal teams.
- Salesforce experience is desired, but not required.
- Smartsheet experience is desired, but not required.
- SQL knowledge to include: writing and optimizing SQL queries to retrieve data in a database, understanding and designing database schemas, creating and modifying database tables, and ensuring data integrity using constraints and indexes.
- Experience with and knowledge of data dictionary and/or data crosswalk structuring is desired, but not required.
- Experience in creating standard operating procedures and user guides.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments.
- Ability to function and adjust in a fast pace and busy environment.
- Ability to read and understand process flow diagrams.
- Skill in collecting and analyzing complex report data.
- Skill in analyzing and organizing technical data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Working understanding of data and its properties.
